MUKSEGON, MI – A Muskegon legal professional operating for circuit decide has been charged with home violence following an incident on Thursday.
Jason Kolkema has been charged with home assault, in line with a press launch issued by the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Workplace on Friday, Aug. 19
The alleged incident occurred inside 292 W. Western Avenue in downtown Muskegon round 11:55 am Aug. 18, in line with the press launch. The handle is The Leonard house constructing.
“Now we have been working with police who’ve been conducting an intensive investigation to acquire any proof of this incident together with any video proof,” the press launch states.
Video shot by way of a window purporting to indicate the alleged assault has been circulating on Fb. When contacted Friday morning in regards to the Fb accusations, Kolkema advised MLive/The Muskegon Chronicle he had no remark.

The assault and battery home violence cost is a misdemeanor punishable by as much as 93 days in jail. Kolkema posted a $500 bond Friday and his association has been scheduled for Aug. 31, in line with Muskegon County District Court docket data.
Kolkema was one of many prime two vote-getters in a four-way major election on Aug. 2 for an open judgment on the 14th Circuit Court docket.
Jenny L. McNeill was the opposite prime vote-getter and the 2 are to face off within the November common election.
